A | (ECNS) -- Hong Kong officially opened its Economic and Trade Office (ETO) in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday, strengthening ties with Malaysia and the broader ASEAN region. Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Algernon Yau Ying-wah officiated at the ceremony during his visit to Malaysia. The Kuala Lumpur ETO is Hong Kong's 15th overseas office and the fourth in ASEAN, covering Malaysia, Brunei, Laos and Pakistan. It will work with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, InvestHK and the Hong Kong Tourism Board to deepen government and business linkages. On the same day, the HKTDC held its flagship overseas promotional event in Kuala Lumpur, attracting nearly 1,600 business leaders from Hong Kong and Malaysia. The seminar offered Malaysian companies opportunities to connect with capital, expand business networks and establish cross-border partnerships, using Hong Kong as a gateway to the Greater Bay Area, the Chinese mainland and global markets. Yau said Hong Kong and Malaysia are "not just trading partners, but strategic partners in shaping the future economy," citing cooperation potential in innovation, technology and green development. He was supposed to direct a Telugu superstar from a mass entertainer, but that was delayed. The filmmaker’s recent release Coolie, starring superstar Rajinikanth did not do well at the box office. But that did not deter his chances of collaborating with a top star in Tollywood. Logesh to direct a Telugu film Recently, it was widely speculated that Logesh Kanagaraj will direct Pawan Kalyan in a straight Telugu film. While the reports excited the fans for a brief time, the buzz died down quickly given Pawan’s political commitments. Pawan had already told OG director Sujeeth to develop a prequel to the gangster drama, and as a result of this, many believed that the film with Logesh may not happen. But according to the latest buzz, the filmmaker has reportedly approached Allu Arjun. Apparently, the director was spotted making multiple visits to the Pushpa star’s office in Hyderabad. This led to conjecture that Logesh may collaborate with Allu Arjun. Although the reports are yet to be confirmed, the reports have certainly excited fans of Allu Arjun. Fans have already started the guessing game, dropping hints like “Pushpa-style mass,” “pan-Indian hero” on social media.
